Supervision/Consultation

I am a trained and qualified clinical supervisor with a Post Graduate Certificate in Couselling Supervision gained from Chester University and have many years experience of supervising counsellors, therapists and those professionals working in the caring professions.  I supervise practitioners’ working in a wide range of settings with a wide range of clients.

I am particularly experienced in providing clinical supervision to those professionals working offline and online with vulnerable and troubled children and young people. My experience in this area was gained through working for a UK award winning children and young people’s online counselling platform.  Through my experience of working in educational, residential and community settings, I have a level of  informed knowledge of the daily life of working with these vulnerable youths. I also know and appreciate some of the challenges of working with this particular client group.

I believe the supervisory relationship based on mutuality, collegial support and challenge offers the best opportunity for good ethical practice. As we both, supervisor and supervisee bring our lives and experiences into the supervisory relationship we have collective and dynamic resources to draw upon to create a learning space where practice can be shared and discussed.

Supervision can be either face-to-face or via the Internet using the platform Vsee.com or Zoom.com

I attend my own clinical supervision for both my therapy and supervision practices.

Please contact me if you are interested in clinical supervision and we can arrange a no obligation introductory meeting.

I also offer organisational consultation to agencies, universities, counselling services on how to develop, establish and deliver online services particularly counselling services to Children and Young People.  This experience has been gained through working for a online CYP website, publishing and researching the issue of Suicide Ideation in Cyberspace, collaborating with leading figures in the online field and working with psychotherapy (UKCP) and counselling (BACP) organisations.  Again, please contact me to discuss further.
