Who Am I?

I am a Certified Transactional Analyst psychotherapist with an MSc in TA psychotherapy, based in South Manchester and have been in private practice since 1998 working with individuals and couples offering both short term and open ended therapy.

As a therapist I bring many years of experience to my work gained through working in various settings – statutory, residential, mental health and voluntary agencies. Along with my private practice with adults and couples, my therapy experience has also been gained by working with Children and Young People both face-to-face and online via technology.

I originally trained in Transactional Analysis.  I then engaged in further training in body psychotherapy and relational psychotherapy and now see myself as a Relational Transactional Analyst.  This is an approach which believes in the centrality of the therapeutic relationship as the significant agent for change and successful therapy.   More recently I have trained and become qualified in working therapeutically online both as a therapist and a supervisor and see this as another way of offering therapy and supervision to people in our now every developing digital world.
